Low Country Wildcats - January 14 - Charleston, SC
Augusta Eagles - 81, Low Country Wildcats - 52
After a day of sightseeing at Fort Sumter in Charleston, SC, the Eagles showed no sign of fatigue, jumping out to a 40-22 halftime lead before eventually winning 81-52. The Low Country Wildcats were able to close to within 12 points of the Eagles early in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles quickly closed the door and ended the game with a 28-7 run.
The Eagles continued to improve defensively, consistently forcing the Wildcats to settle for perimeter jump shots and limiting them to only 5 offensive rebounds (the Eagles were able to pull down 17 offensive rebounds). The 82 points scored marked the highest offensive output of the season for the Eagles. Great teamwork and offensive rebounding by the entire team set the tone for Matt Miller (27 points and 8 rebounds), Nathaniel Crown (25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 steals), and Austin Crown (19 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals) to post impressive individual statistics.
