Tonight we feature the final game of the season for one of Augusta's finest teams, the Westside Patriots. The Patriots, led by the high scoring guard combination of junior Frank Booker and senior Ronald Campbell, gave Augusta's basketball fans a lot to cheer about this season. After winning 11 consecutive games and capturing sub region 3B-AAA's #1 seed, Westside lost a close game to the Josey Eagles in the Region 3-AAA tournament championship game. And after advancing to the state tournament's second round, the Patriots travelled to face a tough Crisp County Cougars squad. Westside's season ended in this Sweet Sixteen contest. But the Patriots have a bright future. We look forward to following the guys during the off season and in the years ahead.Tuesday, March 13, 2012
