The Augusta Basketball Report is broadcasting live at our iHigh Portal from the King James Southern Exposure Tournament in North Augusta, SC. The tournament is noteworthy because it features some of the best AAU teams in the southeast United States. And this is the first of two "evaluation weekends," when college coaches can evaluate high school players during an AAU tournament. In addition to the live streaming broadcast, we are "live tweeting" from our Twitter feed (@AugBball), and we are updating this site with highlights, news, and commentary.
The Worldwide Renegades have established a tradition of excellence on the AAU circuit. So it is only due to the Augusta Basketball Report's relative lack of familiarity with AAU basketball outside of the greater Augusta, Georgia, area that we have waited until Saturday afternoon to highlight this impressive 17u team from the Atlanta area. And it turns out we are actually quite familiar with the Worldwide players. A quick conversation in the parking lot with guards Dennis Young (#1) and Reed Dungan (#2), and forward Jordan Neff (#44) revealed that Norcross High School forward Harold Givens (#33), whom we highlighted during the Will Avery Invitational, is a Renegade. We are familiar with Neff, the athletic forward with a knack for dunking in traffic, and we have gotten familiar with Dungan, who is an accurate outside shooter, and the long and athletic wing Jordan Capps (#32). We are enjoying getting up to speed with the Renegades, the Florida Assault, and other teams competing this weekend. And we are not too proud to get the help of players in the parking lot along the way.

The guard that was the most impressive and is underrated is the kid # 5 from the Worldwide 17U. I haven't seen this guard on the circuit before but he is very impressive. He's got mad handles, shoot the ball very well from all angles of the court, and has excellent court vision. Really fundamental kid with great poise. Who is he?
