Grovetown Comes Roaring Back!

In both team's home opener, Cross Creek established an early 10-0 lead over Grovetown in the first three minutes of Monday's game. Throughout the first half, Cross Creek dominated the boards on both ends, giving the Razorbacks numerous second shot opportunities as they stretched their lead to 13 points at the end the first half.

In the beginning of the second half, Cross Creek continued to hit shots and rebound. But Grovetown's Logan Morris buried one of his three 3 pointers to cut the lead to 9 at the four minute mark of the third quarter. Grovetown proceeded to chip away at the Razorback advantage, trailing by 4 with 1:24 left in the third quarter. Cross Creek's Treaire Moore hit a deep three at the third quarter buzzer to extend his team's lead to 44 - 38. The Warriors took their first lead when sophomore Solomon Gause knocked down a three-pointer to give Grovetown their first lead of the night, 53-52, before Grovetown scored twice more to secure the 57-52 win.

Gause led the Warriors with 19 points.  Moore scored 18 to lead Cross Creek.
