AC Flora and Richland Northeast each coasted to victories in the quarterfinal round of the Capital Cities Classic at Keenan High School in Columbia, South Carolina. The resulting semifinal contest between the two Columbia based schools features several of the Palmetto state's best guards, including Flora's Matt Howard and Richland Northeast's Aaron Scott and Devante Anderson.
Howard is much more than just an impressive basketball player. The 6'4" senior shooting guard will attend the Ivy League's University of Pennsylvania next year. And he is certainly Flora's leader.
Scott is everything one imagines a Division 1 shooting guard should be. He shoots, drives, distributes the ball, and finishes above the rim.
Watch these guards, along with Devante Anderson, in the highlights from today's action below. And stay tuned to this site (AugustaBasketball.com) and to our Twitter account (@AugBball) Friday to see this great match up.
