Thoughts from the Weekend: North Augusta's Sheppard
North Augusta sprinted past Lakeside Saturday, winning in convincing fashion. And as is usually the case, senior guard TJ Sheppard was very impressive. The explosive 6'1" combo guard scored in every way: from deep, in the mid range, and driving to the basket. He also got loose in transition a couple times, finishing by dunking off the stride.
But Sheppard is not alone. Teammate Tavarez Hall is a very capable scorer with size, athleticism, and a nice shooting touch. The Yellow Jackets will attempt to use the skills of this experienced inside-outside combo (featured in the video above) and the skills of their capable teammates to defend the North Augusta home court this Tuesday, as the Evans Knights, winners of last night's thriller over Aquinas, cross the border to do non-region, interstate battle. Of course, ABR Live will be on site to share the action with the basketball community.
