Aiken handed Lexington its first region loss Tuesday with a 58-42 win at home. The win improves the Hornet's record to 11-5 overall, and 2-1 in region play.
The Wildcats rushed out to a 16-10 first quarter lead, as Phillip Blake had success in the paint early, scoring 10 of the Wildcat's 16 points. The Aiken defense also forced a stretch of four consecutive Lexington turnovers, resulting in a quick 8-0 run to take the 27-25 lead at half.
