Lady Razorbacks Continue to Coast
In Tuesday night's Region 3B-AAAA game the Cross Creek Razorbacks cruised to a 55-20 win over the Butler Bulldogs. The win improves the Razorbacks to 17-0 overall and 3-0 in region play. Butler drops to 4-13 overall and 1-2 in region play.
The Razorbacks jumped out to a 17-5 first quarter lead, as Tia Pullens (17 points) and Breanna Bryant (9 points) had things going early. Each played sound defense and showed the ability to finish from different parts of the floor. Cross Creek used pressure defense to create steals that led to transition points. The Razorbacks were able to get a lot of open looks, which was key in building an early lead.
Butler fought hard and showed some toughness, but ultimately they weren't able to keep up with Cross Creek's ladies. The Bulldogs had some opportunities but were unable to get shots to fall. Butler was lead by Tabitha Dailey (5 points) and Osjha Taylor/Quiesha Tolbert (4 points each).
In the end Cross Creek's depth, athleticism, and sound guard play was too much for the Bulldogs. The Razorbacks built their lead up over the course of the game and were in control throughout.
Watch the highlights above to see how the game unfolded and why Cross Creek is one of the better teams in its region, our area, and the state.
