Fields is more athletic, stronger, and way more active than I expected him to be after seeing him mostly in video footage from his season at Hephzibah. Tamyrik plays very hard and he pursues the ball on the offensive glass. He runs the court, defends, and finishes, too. I probably shouldn't have been surprised by his production after he scored consistently for the Rebels during the season.
Coaches often describe players like Tamyrik who have good size and athleticism as "raw." The good news about Fields is he seems enthusiastic about competing. He made a turnaround jump shot during one game. If he plays a lot during the off season, he should continue to improve.
