Eagles Fall to SC Sports Academy

In this season's first game against a "post graduate" team, the GAIS Eagles failed to capitalize on a second half lead, falling 72-63 to the South Carolina Sports Academy.  The Myrtle Beach based program heated up from behind the three point line and at one point converted seven consecutive free throws during a fourth quarter stretch that sealed the game.

The Eagles will play three games against post graduate teams this weekend in the Crusaders Classic in Ludowici, Georgia.  This will be GAIS's second season participating in the tournament.  See the report from last year's "unusual weekend" here.
