The GAIS Eagles were welcomed to Springfield, Missouri, Monday with a barrage of three pointers by the Wisconsin based SWCHA Saints. But the Eagles survived the Saints' 11 three point field goals and battles back from a 61-56 fourth quarter deficit to win 75-67 and advance to the NCHBC round of 16.
Jaylan Robinson led the way with 24 points, scoring from all over the court. Daquarius Johnson added 19 behind solid post play and good shooting.
The Eagles received valuable contributions from many players. Kyle Brown scored 7 second half points, including a fourth quarter three pointer that tied the game at 63. Seniors Sam Culbertson grabbed crucial offensive rebounds in the game's deciding minutes, and TJ Massenburg scored 9 points.
The Eagles play Indiana based Noble Whitley Warriors at 1:55 P.M.
