The Washington Golden Hawks are one of three greater Augusta, Georgia, area girls teams competing in today's Class AAA elite eight round at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Georgia.  Below are key facts about the Golden Hawks, one of Georgia's finest basketball programs over the past two decades.

Key Player: Allisha Gray

Washington County's 6'0, Junior Point Guard Allisha Gray is the leading scorer in the state of Georgia, averaging 30.8 points per game, including a 44 point outburst.  


She rebounds well and has active hands on defense, averaging 6.0 rbp and 5 spg.


Allisha is ranked 4th in the nation, according to ESPN, and has been named player of the year by news columns such as the Atlanta Journal, the Augusta Chronicle, and the Macon Telegraph. She is is a two time All Region Player in 3A-AAA and has been voted WACO's MVP the past two seasons.
