ABR TV On Location: Evans Bounces Back

Evans coach Kevin Kenney was not pleased with his team's performance against Glenn Hills Friday.  Kenney was so displeased that he benched four of his five starters during the beginning of Saturday's game against Georgia Military.  But two affected players, guards Damion Foreman (14 pts) and Patrick Lawrence, responded especially well, leading the Knights to a 60-57 win in Thanksgiving Classic action.

Damion Foreman (Evans)
Foreman ignited an Evans run in the second quarter that put the Knights ahead by a basket going into intermission.  And after trading baskets much of the second half, Evans put together a 56-50 lead with less than 2 minutes remaining.  But after 7 unanswered Georgia Military points, Evans needed a basket.  Lawrence then connected with forward Matt Epps on a perfectly executed screen and roll to put the Knights ahead for good with less than 30 seconds remaining.

Evans will face Aquinas next Saturday before moving on to play North Augusta.  See highlights from today's game and listen to coach Kenney's thoughts about the game in the special "on location" presentation of ABR TV at the top of the screen.
