Thanksgiving Classic Notes: Josey Eagles

Game 3:  Josey defeats Georgia Military
Two nights ago I posed the following question:  After the departure of star forward Kyle Doyle, is Josey supposed to be "down" this season?  Because of the depth of talent on the perimeter, I decided the answer is no.  One night of evidence seems to be supporting my case.

Sophomore point guard Darius Williams (26 pts) was deadly from the perimeter in today's blowout victory over Georgia Military.  Williams converted from deep off the catch and off the dribble.  And he penetrated the defense to find opportunities for himself and for teammates.

One of those teammates was senior guard Michael Brown, who scored 13 points including 3 first half three pointers.

Watching the Eagles guards tonight convinced me that taking Josey for granted this season will be a mistake for opponents.  See coach Jabari Levi discuss his team's performance and watch highlights from today's game in the video above.
