Thanksgiving Classic Notes: Glenn Hills

Day one of the 2012 100 Black Men Thanksgiving Classic is over.  All four games were won decisively.  In the next few posts, we share the results, some statistics, some onsite interviews, some highlights, and impressions from my partner Will Avery and me.

Game 1:  Glenn Hills defeats Evans
The Spartans' defensive pressure overwhelmed the Knights from the beginning.  Glenn Hills used a full court press to create turnovers and get easy baskets.

Glenn Hills guards Aubrey Mcrae and Naquan Turner each scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.  Both attacked the basket and the offensive boards.  Mcrae also made some mid range shots.  And Santo Nina, an athletic wing with a good feel for the game, proved he can make the open jump shot as well.

During the interviews with coach Travis Mcrae, junior guard Aubrey Mcrae, and senior guard Naquan Turner, you will see highlights from tonight's impressive Spartan victory.

Stay tuned for notes from games 2, 3, and 4...
