(Holiday) Tournament Time: Ex Josey Star Doyle Back on ABR Live!

Holiday tournaments are exciting because teams meet that would never otherwise face each other.  And the Upward Classic, played Thursday-Saturday at Dorman High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina, will feature many such match ups.  But one of the things that most excites me about this tournament, which ABRLive.tv will broadcast live from start to finish, is the opportunity to see Atlanta based Buford High School, which features Augusta native and former Josey Eagle Kyle Doyle.

Doyle is a 6'5" senior who was one of our area's top players before transferring.  He led Josey to the region 3-AAA tournament championship last season (see highlights of the championship game versus Westside below).  I have always been impressed with Doyle's rate of improvement.  He is always improving his skills and becoming a more complete player.  We made the video above to chart his progress between the summer of 2011 and the spring of 2012 as he made the transition from a post player to a wing.

I am eager to see the action from the Upward Classic because of all of the great teams involved.  But I am especially excited to see how far Kyle's game has advanced since the summer time.
