(Holiday) Tournament Time: Grovetown-Cross Creek Rematch

Both Grovetown and Cross Creek should both enter Thursday's 2:30 P.M. Monterrey Christmas Tournament game with plenty of motivation.

In the season's first game, Cross Creek surrendered a double digit second half advantage to allow Grovetown to start the season with an emotional come from behind victory at home.  Sophomores Solomon Gause and Logan Morris led the Warriors to the dramatic win, and the Warriors' wings have been playing well ever since.

But Cross Creek isn't the only team with a stinging defeat in mind.  In its last outing, Grovetown itself gave up a double digit second half lead to Harlem before ultimately losing in triple overtime on the road.

Both teams have the potential to make a significant impact during the upcoming region schedule.  Coaches Bill Madigan (Grovetown) and Carlos Carter (Cross Creek) are each optimistic about his team's chances in the second half of the season.  And each will undoubtedly love to get a jump on the new year with an opening round victory Saturday.
