Evans bounced back from a road loss at Hephzibah Saturday with an impressive win at home Tuesday versus the previously undefeated North Augusta Yellow Jackets, a team that beat the Knights convincingly only one week ago. Junior guard Damion Foreman led Evans in scoring with 18 points.
The win was not the first example this season of the Knights responding well after a setback. After opening with two victories, Evans suffered a nearly 30 point loss to area power Glenn Hills. One week later, the Knights responded by beating Aquinas, a team that we had pegged at the time as the area's best.
In a preview to Tuesday's contest, I wrote that after seeing the Aquinas game, I would not doubt Evans again. It's a good thing I learned my lesson!
