Aiken Tops South Aiken in Cross-Town Region Play

Aiken's Erin Gilmore scored 15 of her game high 17 points during a furious Hornet run spanning the second and third quarters of Aiken's 41-29 victory over region foe South Aiken Tuesday.  At one point during the stretch, Aiken outscored its rival 20-4 before the Hornets built an 18 point advantage leading into the final quarter.

Aiken's Alexis Odom added 10 points.  South Aiken's Kayasia Youmans scored 12 points in defeat.  Aiken, 5-1 in region competition, travels to White Knoll Friday.  South Aiken (2-3) will host region leader Dutch Fork.
