Aquinas Extends Streak to Nine

Ahmed Hill scored a game high 28 points to lead the Fighting Irish of Aquinas to a 69-39 home victory over rival Lincoln County. Aquinas improved its overall record to 13-5 overall and 3-0 in region play after winning its eighth consecutive game.

On the opening tip Aquinas point guard Michael Scott found Ahmed Hill for the back door alleyhoop to set the tone for the game. While Lincoln County started slowly, Aquinas managed to go on a 7-0 run to end the first quarter.  Aquinas forced serval turnovers in the second quarter by pressuring Lincoln County full court, fueling a 12-0 Irish run.  Hill and Scott combined for 24 first half points as Aquinas led 39-10 at the break.

In the second half Hill and Scott, Aquinas' dynamic back court duo, continued to pour in the points as Hill led all scorers with 28 and Scott chipped in 15.  Lincoln County's Jalen Franklin lead the Red Devils with 13 points.

The Fighting Irish looks to extend its winning streak to nine games as they travel to face Taliaferro Co. (2-7, 1-2) this Friday.
