Glenn Hills Defeats Cross Creek to Secure Bye in Region Tournament

Glenn Hills spoiled Cross Creek's "senior night" with a 60-59 road victory, securing a top two sub region regular season finish and a 3-AAAA region tournament first round bye.  The Spartans were tested throughout the contest as the lead changed hands nine times.

Glenn Hills will now look toward Friday's road matchup with Butler, the only team to defeat the Spartans this season.  Friday's winner will secure the regular season's top spot in sub region 3B-AAAA, a position that could prove key in the seeding of the region tournament.

Tuesday's loss removes Cross Creek from the race for a first round bye as the Razorbacks are tied for the third position with Burke County leading into the final game of the regular season.

Aubrey McRae and Santo Nina each scored 12 points to lead the Spartans' balanced attack.  Cross Creek's Vincent Norris led all scorers with 18 points.
