Butler (Boys) and Cross Creek (Girls) to Play for Region Championship

Butler Defeats Liberty Co;
Statesboro is too big for Glenn Hills; Cross Creek (Girls) Remain Perfect with Win over Hephzibah

Butler 72 Liberty Co. 66
Don Coleman led with 30 points to lead Butler. In the early game, Glenn Hills fell to home town favorite Statesboro in a contest similar to the two previous losses. Statesboro was just too big for the Spartans. Friday night's match up between Butler and Statesboro will be quite the Region Championship to see and we will definitely will be in the gym!

Cross Creek (girls) 57 Hephzibah 52
Ashleigh Outler led the Razorbacks with 18 points. Cross Creek will play South Effingham in tomorrow's Region Championship

Glenn Hills 49 Statesboro 53
Aubrey McRae and Naquan Turner led Glenn Hills with 15 points each. In a hard fought game by both teams, Statesboro's size ultimately was too much for the Spartans.

  1. Glenn Hills lack of size down low caught up with them, but it's only an issue this year. The coaching staff (coach Pete) there are developing their bigs on the JV quite well. I'll go ahead and say it first here, undefeated State champs next season. My favorite team this year, Butler has the potential to win it all. I said it before, Donte will score and Ronald will board but they only win if Marquise controls the game.
